Lara Sutter

I was born in 1984 in Argentina and I’m a curator based in Zurich, Switzerland. I first trained as a graphic designer in Argentina and later obtained University Certificates from the National College of Art and Design (Ireland) in Visual Investigation and a Diploma in Art.
I earned a Master’s degree in Curating from the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK), where I developed my curatorial practice around projects that highlight critical social themes and foster meaningful dialogue.
I mostly collaborate with immigrant artists on different projects, ensuring that their voices and ideas reach a wider audience.
My background in design, contemporary art studies, and curatorial practice allows me to balance aesthetics with concept-driven storytelling — challenging perspectives on socialisation and the global south, creating new perspectives from a decolonial point of view, and making space for artists from diverse parts of the world.
As a Latin American immigrant in Europe, I’m committed to bringing different narratives into contemporary art discourse and creating platforms where underrepresented stories can be seen, heard,
and valued.
